Graduate Skills for Torridge
Project Information
The Graduate Skills for Torridge Project (GSfT) is an initiative to bring together Torridge businesses and graduates for mutual and possibly long term benefit. GSfT will help businesses to identify and recruit appropriately skilled graduates and undergraduates who can help with business improvement and development of new ideas, products or services. The project is a response to the current low level of graduate skills being utilised in the Torridge District. GSfT is funded by Devon Renaissance and the Learning and Skills Council; it is managed by NDEA Ltd.
GSfT has considerable flexibility in order to focus on specific local needs; it runs from October 2007 to March 2009.
• All SMEs in the Torridge Area are eligible to take part in this project.
• The duration of each placement will depend on the requirements of the business.
• Remuneration should be commensurate with the skills and experience of the project worker.
"For SMEs whose teams are often under immense pressure, the promise of a fresh perspective and 'an extra pair of hands' to tackle new projects is surely too good to be true".
Liz Rhodes MBE, Director National Council for Work Experience
